Saturday 14th March was the date for the first inter club Championships, held at Harrow Lodge Leisure Centre.
The clubs entred were from Hornchurch, Barking, Rainham,Romford & Stanstead Abbotts. with ages from 6-17 years. It was a great turn out and for most of the children their first taste of sport Ju-Jitsu Competition. Depending on their ages and grades they could compete in Random attacks, Groundfighting, Continous Fighting, Empty hand kata & Weapon kata. Everyone gave their best and many medals were won from all the clubs.
A special thank you goes too all the snr students that turned up to run the three mat area’s. Everyone worked tirelessly all day, and many kind coments were passed on at the end of the day on how profesional the event was run which is a credit to the mat teams. Now that the Juniors have had a tast of competition we look forward too seeing them take part in our next International Course and comp’s in Southend in May.
